Preface
2021 is the year of the ox in the Chinese lunar zodiac. The cow is a symbol of hard work in Chinese culture. It is easily reminiscent of mothers who are willing to be bullies—grass is eaten and milk is squeezed out. The last year of the Rat was a year when the global epidemic spread. It was also a year when women took on more tedious housework at home office and faced challenges from domestic violence, unemployment and survival threats. In this year of the epidemic, the independent, self-reliant and hard-working personality displayed by professional women, mothers, wives or ordinary female employees not only breaks the world’s narrow and prejudiced women, but also eliminates gender confrontation and achieves gender equality treating each other and living in harmony has a role that cannot be ignored.
Xin Chou's Year of the Ox should no longer be an hard-working ox and a horse, but a "women" who brave the wind and waves. . . .
